Just a British gamer and film/tv fan. Enjoy a mix of modern and classic/retro stuff
Yeah, I enjoyed HK. Final boss took many tries tho. Didn’t do the god home stuff cos I knew it would be beyond me.

Death Stranding 2 was a fun ride. My controller started developing drift a day or two in, but I persevered despite it, cos I wanted to see more.

Geoff doesn’t choose the nominations or the winners tho. It’s gonna be the dumb segment of games media and their childish aversion to Sonic (you’ll see many of them snark whenever a Sonic game comes up in a showcase)

But with everything ppl have said about the Until Dawn film this is insane
November 17, 2025 at 11:33 PM
It's ridiculous, I've heard mixed things on several on that list and nothing good on Until Dawn so it's not that there are too many good movies to choose from for that shortlist

Like I finally got around to Hollow Knight 1 through PS+ a few weeks before Silk Song and hopefully will buy that in a few months. I’d have prob thrown Silent Hill f on the list too
November 17, 2025 at 11:23 PM
I've played and beaten the top 2 which is actually good for me cos I'm usually playing catch-up on past releases cos money's been tight the last few years so I had to rely on birthdays/Xmas, PS+, and deep sales to play the bigger games
November 17, 2025 at 11:21 PM
What, are ppl trying to claim Silksong doesn’t count now cos Team Cherry weren’t starving while making it!?
November 17, 2025 at 11:17 PM
Oh, that’s cool. I saw the name in an Eza email the other day and thought “That sounds familiar for some reason” and now I know why.

Love the close-knit community feel of this interconnectivity.

Congrats on finishing an amazing game

I love RE1 remake, it’s like the purest form of survival horror.
November 17, 2025 at 11:05 PM
God, I'm sure it's prob snobbishness of games media thinking they are above Sonic (you still get snide comments whenever a Sonic game comes up in summer gamefest streams and the like)

I’ve not even seen the Until Dawn film but just by reputation it’s surprising that it’s there
November 17, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Especially the idea that Geoff chooses the nominees and eventual winners that ppl trot out EVERY GODDAMNED YEAR is so tiring.
November 17, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Yeah, it’s not that hard yet you have interviews with them acting like they need to reinvent or there’s no point.
November 17, 2025 at 11:15 AM
Loved it on N64 and beat Adventures on GameCube but not played the others as they never seemed to have the same appeal (Nintendo seem obsessed with reinventing the wheel with this series instead of making a normal sequel )
November 17, 2025 at 11:11 AM
I can only guess there are no longer any retro games in Japan once you leave lol
November 17, 2025 at 11:02 AM
I feel they could have the fidelity if they were more hyper-focused on playability with how they lay out levels.

Yellow paint often feels like a last-minute crutch when they realise the art department went too far and made the game look like a hoarder's house with all the clutter.
November 17, 2025 at 1:42 AM
I definitely understand why the comments happen, the user interface is bad for informing them. Google's fault not your’s of course
November 17, 2025 at 1:35 AM
I feel they used to until a couple of years ago when they changed it to exclusively be in that tab instead of both video and live
November 17, 2025 at 1:33 AM
Not played much Prime (need to sort that) but you'd think they'd not want to reignite the “it's fake Metroid” discourse.

I’m more concerned about them designing it to need the bike. It’s giving me Batman Arkham knight ptsd of misguided game design.
November 17, 2025 at 1:31 AM
Only beat it and zesteria so far in my life but I have abyss (DS), xillia2, and vesperia remastered in my collection to go through one day
November 17, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Only played through the game once on PS3 and don’t remember much but I do have good feelings when I see that pic.

Xillia in fact was my “do I actually like JRPGs or just Final Fantasy?” test. I devoured that game

I do like Romulus but it’s kinda weird how it’s building up suspense and then once they get to the station speed runs to the end. Felt like there should be more in the middle than there is (and many of the callbacks were too much or badly done)

None of that detracts from its high quality
November 17, 2025 at 1:07 AM
Which version of Alien3 tho?

But props for having the original on top (too many get led astray by the second film's action and are gaslit into thinking it's better)
November 17, 2025 at 1:02 AM
This will be cool. You guys better have the right opinions on the game or you may feel me scowling at my phone. Lolz
November 17, 2025 at 12:57 AM
Yeah if someone ever achieves immortality for all humans one of the top five things I'd do would be finally watch, read, and play all media I’ve been interested in but never had the time/energy to experience
November 16, 2025 at 5:13 PM
And longer ago it was even better.
I remember going to GAME in the afternoon after my last exam and buying my copy of Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast and just reading the manual on my bus ride home on the upper deck of the bus. Just something magical about consuming manuals right before you play.

I guess philosophically speaking it could be considered a false dichotomy and death is just the last stage of life and not separate (then we wouldn’t have ppl like that crazy mega-rich guy doing things like transplanting his son's blood to desperately live as long as he can )
