Finished 1000xRESIST, a narrative focused game about the burdens of family and a world lacking hope. The story got some emotions out of me and has some really cool direction decisions. However, it's completely lacking in engaging gameplay, and character identities felt a bit lacking.

Finished NG4. An incredible 3D action game to add to the list with MGR, Hi-Fi Rush and DMC5. Amazing combat, levels that range from basic to exciting with fun exploration and platforming, and an enjoyable if simple story. Only complaint is some jank and a somewhat shallow integration of Hayabusa.

Finished NG: Ragebound, a 2D ninja platformer with a killer soundtrack. While it was fun, the game doesn't evolve much as you go, what you see in the demo preps you for everything the game will throw at you. It was also a bit too autopilot, but I do still need to play hard mode and find more things.

Finished Valkyria Chronicles, a turn-based strategy game focused around armed warfare. Gave me the same addiction as a good Fire Emblem game. There were various small issues that got in the way of this being exceptional for me, but it's still an easy recommend. I'll give the DLC missions a try soon.

Finished the greatest expedition of all time. Did most of the side stuff and crushed the ending bosses, being rewarded with a captivating ending. This RPG manages to have superb story, characters, visuals, combat, exploration, music, and everything else. Play this if you have any interest at all.

Finished Berserk Boy, a 2D action platformer similar to Mega Man. Unlike that game, it rewards high aggression and speedrunning, and isn't nearly as hard (especially if you turn lives off. Short and sweet, recommend if you like the genre.

Finished Crosscode. An action RPG with fast-paced combat, tricky puzzles and fun characters. While the combat was great, I have a massive issue with the game's platforming and navigation, as well as some puzzles crossing the line into the obtuse. Overall recommend but be ready for some brain frying.

Finished SANABI, a 2D sprite-based platformer focused around a grappling hook mechanic and an intriguing narrative. Very tightly designed with well balanced combat and cool speedrunning tricks, as well as satisfying bosses. Goes on sale for under $10 often, highly recommend.

Finished In Stars and Time. This is the type of game that compromises enjoyment of gameplay in order to enhance its storytelling, and I think it worked tremendously. Excellent writing and characters carry a game that is very repetitive to play. Overall an experience I won't soon forget.

Finished The End is Nigh. From one of the Super Meat Boy creators, it carries a lot from that game: tight pure platforming, good music, and lots of content. Also it's really fucking hard, especially the side content, which I still haven't completed. Definitely worth the price, but brace yourself.

The credits are now rolling on Shadow Generations. Took a little over 3.5 hours mostly rushing to the end.
It may be short but not a moment is wasted. It's so damn good and I'm looking forward to replaying levels and the white space to see what there is to get.

Finished Iconoclasts. a puzzle focused metroidvania with Mega-Man style combat and a very serious narrative. It's unique and hard for me to compare it to other games in the genre, and I enjoyed it aside from some cryptic puzzles and weak exploration elements. Worth checking out.

This might be the first Sonic game I can say "wow this is a good game" and not have to put 10+ asterisks next to the statement
Whether it's on Apple Arcade or a hopeful rerelease later, this is a quality game that is worth your time.

Finally 100%d Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. Obv I'd heard of the praise the game got but it still genuinely blew me away with its story, spectacle and freedom of gameplay. A genuine full blown movie experience created almost entirely from gameplay alone. Def getting to the sequels someday.

Finally 100%d Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. Obv I'd heard of the praise the game got but it still genuinely blew me away with its story, spectacle and freedom of gameplay. A genuine full blown movie experience created almost entirely from gameplay alone. Def getting to the sequels someday.
Just finished Ghost Trick. It's a simple puzzle/visual novel game with really fun puzzles and characters. It was great getting invested in a serious story without the tone being depressing.
