Frage ich mich auch. In der Generation meiner Eltern war es noch so, dass ein Doppelname zeigte, dass die (Emanzen-)Frau was von ihrem eigenen Namen behalten wollte; das ging nur so. Aber das war nur bis 1976... vielleicht trägt sich das Vorurteil weiter? Bald 50 Jahre sind dafür aber heftig.

I'm so grateful for this tradition in Germany, too. I started swimming again a few years ago and it was a weird kind of relief to see all kinds of bodies in all kind of shapes, just existing. It was great for my mental health! Almost as important as the exercise itself.
