I don’t mean to say that I didn’t have some responsibility for where I was. But generational poverty breeds hopelessness which breeds generational addiction.
Just getting clean didn’t get me out of poverty but it made everything possible.

I was a locksmith and sales person for specialty hardware. I would help homeowners select the styles they wanted. When the house was completed I would go there and rekey the locks so no workers had keys.

My 16 yr grandson started having mental crises 3 years ago.
Although my daughter has always had “good insurance “ she has over 20,000 of medical debt. I hate our political system.

My experience with poverty lasted until I was around 35 yr. It left me emotionally exhausted and defenseless.
Worse, my job had me going into wealthy areas which led me to believe that I was the problem.
