It used to be you could assume the people around you, stranger or not, were aware of and largely reacting to the same things as you. The things now pass by at a speed so high, through avenues so tinkered with, the assumption has become the opposite. Remains to be seen what that leaves us with.

The primary reason: Riding a train or even walking to a stadium on game day adds to the anticipation and becomes part of the package, same goes for heading home or to a bar in the surrounding neighborhood after to share what happened with others.

Stadium placement from scratch is complicated but any stadium in an actual city setting will always be a far superior to any stadium at the center of an ocean of parking lots with nothing else around it for miles.

It seems one of the defining challenges of the present is going from no longer sharing the same basis for differing opinions to those able to just doing away with the basis altogether when inconvenient.
