Okay so after many break days, this is my progress. I have a gameplay loop, there's multiple levels, things can get very hectic very quickly and this is my best score on Level 2 so far!

A game over screen, showing info about why the player failed. It was not meeting the daily box quota. The final score says 3132 and the total boxes says 1292. The background shows a maze of conveyor belts all trying to get their coloured boxes in their correctly coloured chutes.

Upgrades to many of the monitors today! Including this new one that displays some info about the system you are in.

Super fun to redesign a lot of the UI around the ship as just text was getting boring.

More monitors!
There's a flat one and a more "square" CRTV one. The screens are flat as it's easier to work with.

The button cases got a nice retexturing too.

Slowly but surely, the game is looking pretty good!

The weapon systems. The large hovering rectangle monitor shows the selected turret's point of view. The large, more square-ish monitor shows the amount of targets. The large flat monitor shows a map of the turrets on the ship as well as buttons to select each one. To the right of this flat monitor, there is an automatic turret toggle and to the right of that is a joystick for manual turret control.

Been playing #AlanWake a lot recently. Love the story and its whole concept. The game mechanics are simple yet effective too!

Can't wait to finish it.

Completed the ship maintenance today. Most of it needed redoing due to poor coding and it is all connected to each specific system so there's consequences to not repairing.

Press a button and a repair drone appears and zooms towards its destination using nodes.

A screen displaying a map of the ship's outline on the right, various lights are placed in specific places detailing the current health of the system it is assigned to. Each light has a name underneath it describing the system. On the left, there are various buttons that have names for each system. If pressed a repair drone is spawned and heads towards its location. Once it arrives it will take some time to repair the damage and then will head back to where it appeared from. The drone uses a node based system to travel. A button was added to the camera system, allowing the player to view the last spawned drone's perspective.

I didn't get round to getting the video done today, however I was able to make some new lights that I think fit the game.
Also a slight peek at the updated ship bridge design!

There are two lights, the left is similar to a tall domed emergency light. The other is a panel where various shapes act as light sources. The background consists of various metal panels that have rusted over time.

Here's my progress so far! Will try my best to upload a video tomorrow, it won't be anywhere near this progress yet, however the videos will catch up!

A basic repair drone made of a squashed sphere, 2 cuboids for arms that are fairly long and a small cube in the centre that acts as a camera.
