I think it's good to inform people of their rights and connect with them. If the only or best way to do that is on a Meta platform (for now) then so be it. I'm not going to insist that every last person abandon it before talking to them

You are talking about normal people who live normal lives and don't have the left wing crank opinions of someone like, say, me. Yes, encourage people off of those platforms, but if you're actually trying to reach people that's where they are.
