Congrats to Matt Campbell, who was a legend for Iowa State. My hoping that he never wins another game against anyone but Michigan has nothing to do with him and everything to do with the institution to which he's headed.

Joe Flacco could be just what the Bengals need to finish second in the AFC North...

Though I'll admit I'm not sure they'll make the playoffs with a record of 5-12.

If Luis Ortiz or Emmanuel Clase bet on the Guardians to win the AL Central, I would agree they should face a lifetime ban from baseball. Guardians!!!!

My apologies to CJ Kayfus. I'm not sure I've ever watched anyone get hit by a pitch and experienced joy before, but I'm already on my fifth viewing.

Just saw someone who's living on the street lifting weights. Has a cart he's pulling around with his possessions and some dumbbells. Just because you're a person who's lost nearly everything doesn't mean you can't make massive gainz. #miami

Hadn't been to Dodger Stadium in 12 years. Definitely not my favorite, but a trip worth making (and it's surprisingly walkable from Chinatown even if they don't have a proper entrance for you to walk up).

Angels made me feel right at home by losing by nine through offensive futility (leadoff triple? Don't worry, he's not going anywhere) and breathtaking defensive incompetence (4 errors and the worst defensive play wasn't an error). Sammy Peralta pitched well, not that the scoreline will show it.

Already at two brewery cats in the vicinity of Glendale. This is Juanito of Paperback Brewing.

Not worth the two hour wait in line to get Oasis's last four albums on vinyl, but I did, damnit. Bag it up!

Convenient to be in LA for a day where I was temporarily a Chargers fan anyway. Hopefully KC can miss the playoffs so Andy Reid's kids don't have to kill again.

My hotel is on the other side of the parked train. Then the train moved and parked again. 4 hours in Los Angeles has made me less afraid of earthquakes, because I know nothing here moves.

Lukenbach, Texas is playing at Frogtown Brewery. I wouldn't have even thought it possible that there would be a song I hadn't heard for 40 years, yet would hear again...I stand corrected. Also, they have a cat.

I hope that there is a day in the near future where law students will discuss the remedies decision in United States v Google in the same breath as Dred Scott and Lochner v. New York.

I've read several articles about the growing number of people who don't drink. But then I boarded my flight and ended up in the Delta Sky Club in MSP. Guess the news hadn't gotten to the Midwest yet.

Though I miss CBP generally, I feel particularly robbed that I'm not in the outfield for every game Kepler plays yelling "Hey Max, if it wasn't for us, you'd be speaking German!"

Counterpoint, liberal media: crimes of treason are up more than 1,000,000% in the District since January 20.

Seeing P.J. Poulin have a scoreless debut at age 29 almost offsets the horrors of everything else about that Nationals game. In the team's first 55 seasons, the Expos/Nationals gave up 24 hits once. The Washington Trashionals have now done it twice in four days.

Nationals making history! New franchise record for hits allowed with 25. The 1971 Expos are finally off the hook.

For seven days, I had a second cat; I fell hard for Jet. He was sweet, cuddly, purry, and up to the last day, put me in a good mood. But he would not eat or take medicine. It's embarrassing how much I loved this cat who gave me about 6 stress-free hours in the week I had him. But I wasn't wrong.

Wow, I'd honestly forgotten I'd gotten past 5 miles, let alone 6.76. I guess having three femurs isn't good for my memory.
For months, I'd struggled to find the motivation to do distance or a non/glacial pace. But this week I'm suddenly finding the will to crack 7 minute miles and stick it out past four miles. The secret? Too many library holds coming in at the same time...

Thanks, public libraries. I'll miss you.

Monty is still waiting for the Epstein files to be [forged and then] released.

I'm honestly surprised Bondi hasn't handed over a page with Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton, George Soros, and Kilmar Abrego Garcia written in crayon.
