Yes but only one team can win a conference and we’re moving towards the point of having just 2 mega conferences … honestly I think a 12 team playoff is much broader than is necessary, but since it’s what we’ve got it seems like a bad message to penalize bold scheduling

But then you’re basically telling schools to never schedule tough opponents out of conference … how we end up with weeks like this where top SEC teams are playing Samford, Charlotte, and E Illinois
That being said I think 12 is way too many - playoff expansion shoulda gone from 4 to 6 and evaluated
