Story points should mean something, but that something can change team to team. If the points are coming out of people's asses and the values not assessed in retros, then sure they mean nothing.

I never knew they were all supposed to be the same bound. I just assumed it was a bunch of guys given a title and all had similarly unfortunate childhoods.
