The whole team is way too quick to try to pass it into the net. Third line gets it. You don’t have to be the hurricanes but take the puck to the net when it’s there.

True. I mean just that he was pretty openly mocking Putin for a long time on socials before the whole mystery back home issue. I don’t get the impression that he’s all that eager to live under him but who knows

Not a lawyer but I have looked into this a bit figuring these lunatics would go for it. Theres some angle they try to take on “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” and mangle it into something other than what it obviously means. Not sure SCOTUS is fully onboard with that idiocy though thank god.

That could be the motto for this season. Drury and Dolan seem to be of the mind that optics don’t matter ala Vegas, but also winning doesn’t matter which is an interesting twist.

Yea. Its bizarre - feels like all the top goalies are American or Russian. Didn’t really notice until I saw who these teams were putting out there

My biggest grievance is still that nobody has a good handle on how it all went to shit so fast. They started this same season strong. What happened? How can nobody in the media put together a coherent narrative of what made the team implode?

There’s good points here as well as eye rolling hyperbole. It’s not “easy” to be an NHL player anywhere, for example, and they didn’t wilt when things got hard last year, they lost to the best team in the league in the ECF. We’re all rightfully disappointed but let’s be real.
