For me, once a game exceeds a certain threshold of difficulty, it becomes too boring to be fun. Elden Ring was like this for me. I can't spend any time enjoying the game when most of the gameplay amounts to hitting the boss 1 or 2 times, dying, then waiting 2 minutes to get back to it.
