In the midst of the madness we’re all enduring, Karma Doll, Jonathan Ames’ wildly funny, semi- depraved, and beautifully written new Noir, may be the perfect read… For my money, his bent, burned-out Buddhist detective, Happy Doll, is this generation’s Philip Marlowe.
