I've always found "No thank you" to work just fine. Explanations aren't necessary and I'd rather be simply dismissed than given reasons why. Let the other person handle their own feelings. You take care of you and what's good for you.

I use Finch and find it incredibly helpful. I love having a to do list that rewards me even for the simplest tasks. I started with the bare minimum, lowest bar tasks and now 3 months later I have my own list and routine every day.
