Explained perfectly.
I try to explain this often. When we believe in something so strongly we are often willing to ignore anything that might contradict that belief. Moreso, when people do realize they're wrong, they often double-down because they'd struggle to live with what they supported.

I regret that we currently live in a country where someone needs to publically express regret, to both the public and the powers at be, just for having the slightest sense of common sense or decency.

WE NEED MORE OF THIS
WE NEED BRAVERY
WE NEED SENSE
WE NEED EMPATHY

People who have the platform, the fame, the opportunity. Please use it.

I agree with both.
Christianity tells people to be "christlike" but most Christians prefer being "godlike" they preach acceptance and empathy as they judge, punish, and turn away anyone who dare ask questions or simply not agree.

I'm new to Bluesky but I really appreciate seeing users with high following counts keeping people informed. One of the best things we can do is catalog reality because this administration is gonna do everything within their powers to gaslight and manipulate us.

These are often the same exact people that need the Bible to tell them not to assault women or children.

Any Christian who first needs to consider the risk of eternal damnation rather than just not wanting to harm others needs to take a long and sober look at their own personal morality.

Were the words "unhinged" "deranged" "egomanical" "sociopathic" or "narcissistic" not in the author's vocabularly?

No, instead they thought that this pile of melted animal fat definitely handled things in a... muscular way.

On a global scale, we are no longer one of the good guys. We are no longer purveyors of peace or of equality. We now, as a nation, stand for something I never thought we would, and I am so very deeply ashamed of that.

With all that I have, I hope we get the chance to learn from all of this.

To see it broken down so clearly, I am so far beyond disappointment and shame.

We allowed a man who represents everything that's ever been wrong with this country into the White House... again

Everyone who didn't vote should feel disgusted, but learn, and NEVER let this happen again.

For me, it's the realization that on a global level, it no longer matters who I am or what I personally believe is right. As of yesterday, on a global level, we simply aren't the good guys anymore. We aren't fighting for the rights of the people.

Yesterday, I felt ashamed.
