Sometimes the castle helps the cats sneak into the food or the treats when it thinks they deserve it. The cats have learned this and will meow and headbutt the wall affectionately until the castle gives in.

Killer now has to try and find a eldritch-building proof cat food container.

Cat doors and little cat sized passageways, cat towers and cat toys all start mysteriously appearing at one point or another...

This is so real, I get two chapters done at once and I'm like "omg I can post on a regular schedule and get ahead on writing and I'm so coo—" and I post ts the very next day 😭😭😭

And it makes NM laugh by playing jokes on the others in his view.

Killer is flirting with him and goes to lean against the wall with that stupid grin on his face and the wall is suddenly just– gone! Killer falls over. NM hasn't laughed that hard in a long time.

The castle plays all the nicer pranks on Nightmare...

It definitely misplaces his pens or his paperwork whenever he's working too much. It irritates Nightmare to no end, but later, he usually tosses a little snack or a sweet treat into the corner... to show his gratitude.
