I did the same with my parents and those frozen Kid Cuisine meals in the 90’s! I begged to try one for years, and my confused mom caved. I immediately regretted it once it was cooked bc it looked nothing like it did in the Nickelodeon commercials.

Also, if someone asked me what being a kid in 1999 was like: I remember the joy I felt when I got these Wild Wild West sunglasses from the movie’s promo at Burger King. They don’t do fast food tie-ins like that anymore.
