Tom is now with Climate Central as a Media Director, and continues to speak out against cuts to NOAA and employee terminations in order to keep weather research and services alive.

Tom had been the emcee of every United States Center at the United Nations Conference since 2015, running the most recent U.S. Center at COP29 in November of 2024.

Since graduating from SBU, Tom has found great success in his professional career, formerly working for NOAA as a climate scientist at the Climate Prediction Center in Washington DC, where his work involved forecasting the weather for international areas, being a spokesperson for the CPC & more.
