I love this! This type of cartoonist line art was also part of my baseball experience growing up as a Red Sox fan. The Providence Journal had Frank Lanning, and the Boston papers had a guy, too.

Mine was this one. As I recall, there was a sort of disclaimer on the first page: “This book will give you dreams.” It truly did, and I’ve been chasing that ever since with every book I read.
