Started reading “My Stupid Intentions” which was recommended by my friend a while back. It’s a page turner already, very dark and sad but good pacing. Love a book about animals having an existential crisis

I also finished reading “Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult!” by Maria Bamford, a comedian I hadn’t heard of
before. It definitely wasn’t what I expected (it’s not about cults and more a mental health memoir) but I enjoyed her humor and gained some perspective on OCD, bipolar, and 12 step programs lol.

I finished reading Frankenstein. Like Dracula, it was not what I expected! The monster was.. more eloquent than expected. He was also sympathetic (minus the murder?). Frankenstein himself (the scientist) was much more miserable than expected! The characters have really transformed in culture.

I decided I’ll share my book thoughts here since I’m reading a bit more and it’s good practice for critical thinking or having an opinion or whatever

I just finished reading Dracula. I could never find the vampire particularly threatening or scary, since he lives by himself in a castle with his 3 weed smoking girlfriends whom he doesn’t seem to like very much, and can only travel by crate. But the diary/letter format was fun!
