Nothing new there. When Russia shot down KAL 007 off of Sakhalin Island the Russians sent out a warship. It would make runs at the line of ships and boats searching for the KAL 007 black box. A U.S. FFG and DDG guarding the flotilla were ready to send it to the bottom of the ocean.
