After reading about the medicinal properties of Goldenrod, I can't wait to try it. Dried flowers will be served as tea to help with seasonal allergies and urinal health. It's also supposed to be good for the skin. ✨

It's always fun to meet everyone at National Indigenous People's Day Celebration in Guelph, enjoy the best Indian tacos around, and marvel at the presented arts and crafts. The performers - especially Lacey Hill - were such a delight to see. Miigwetch and Niá:wen to all the contributors! 🙌

Waterwalks are among the top experiences that leave me with immense gratitude for the renewed bond with all that nurtures and sustains us. The clear, potable water when I open a tap. The simplicity of finding joy in a bird song. The invitation to relate and be a part of it. It's all there. 🫴

Wood Poppy or Celandine Poppy is a wildflower native to Ontario. The invasive Greater Celandine looks very similar unless you take a closer look at the leaves and petals. Diversifying the landscape by replacing invasive plants with the native version helps native wildlife to flourish. 🌱🐝💚

The Credit River this morning, a little paradise full of birds and happy people, feeding on the community spirit and teachings that were shared at the fundraiser yesterday as well as today. 💦 Grateful to all our relations and especially the Anishinaabe women who share their teachings with us. 💙

Joe Pyeweed is sprouting! Check out the tiny green in the middle column. I am over the moon! Random cold stratification in the porch where I stored the harvested seeds, followed by 30 days in the refrigerator after planting, and it seems to have worked! ✨🌱💪
