I have sadly not taken any fotos, but this is basically me after two wonderful days of the second edition of Linguistic Intersections of Language and Gender (organised by @div-ling.org and @hhu.de). I am extremely grateful to the organisers and the students assistants, who have done an amazing job 💜

Just came across these two pictures of me teaching an intro to syntax tutorial class at a park in Mar del Plata, Argentina about 10 years ago with just a makeshift whiteboard and my love of syntactic analysis 😂
We just got together, had some mate and cookies, yapped and analysed sentences 🤓

I'm doing a kirie (Japanese paper cutting) workshop at the uni later today and I got off the bus a stop earlier to enjoy the view of the campus on a Sunday morning before heading to my office.

Public universities in Argentina are at a breaking point. Students are occupying buildings in support of faculty and staff who are on strike protesting massive budget cuts and salaries below the poverty line. The cherry on top? A presidential veto on a law guaranteeing funding and wage raises.

Spanish class - student has to write a definition, I have to guess what he's defining.

He's not wrong, but my first mental image of "cultivar" is always a plant, so I start laughing.
