Someone suggested I try drawing a DBZ character so here’s a Gohan. The screenshot I used for reference (if you’re a DB fan you know the exact one) didn’t have the top of his hair visible so I had to improvise and you can see the remnants of my many trials and errors on his hair spikes

Not much to say about this one. Wanted to try drawing a short hime cut and also practice doing more detailed noses and mouths. Also considered making this one into a catgirl too but decided against it.

For my morning practice, I thought “What if I finished drawing the rest of the body on that Colphne sketch from last night?” failing to realize just how complicated her outfit is. Still, valuable experience, and drawing from a direct reference is way easier than making stuff up.

Unfortunately gonna be busy today so just spent a few minutes this morning doing some more perspective practice. Did a more “realistic” one and then one with the anime cat head side profile. The fact I’m able to draw these at with ease at all I think is a sign I’m improving.

I actually ended up feeling like doodling so I asked a friend what to doodle and she said a catgirl so I gave it my best shot and I think I did alright (it’s garbage but I will get better)

No new Procreate doodles this morning just practicing sketching more heads this time at ANGLES ooo… Also ordered some new pencils and stuff because up until now I’ve been using old shit I had from high school. These are the pencils I took my 12th grade finals with. I don’t even own a sharpener. #Art

Took a break from practicing faces and messed around with Procreate’s brush tools. Made this in like 3 minutes with the “water”, “driven snow”, and “lightbrush” brushes. Technology is crazy man.

Decided to take a step back and try to learn/practice some basics. Spent the morning repeatedly drawing these two basic faces over and over again to try and learn facial structure and head shape. I think that one on the right is my best attempt yet at freehanding one without the circle trick.

It’s REAL rough looking, but I went back and finished a sketch of one of my D&D characters from years ago. I traced the body pose off a wireframe I found online, but I hope I can freehand stuff like this one day. If I had to do that rn it would probably be little more than a stick figure. #D&D #Art
