I think we have to accept that you cannot stoke a more football like tribal fandom and not expect there to be divides. We also have to recognise that different teams have different cultures, public personas and approaches to racing. Some are more negative while others present positively.

Well that does surprise me. Do you know if it change or have I fallen for a myth?

The British F1 GP is on a short list of events that has to be shown on terrestrial TV. This is why Channel 4 show it in full rather than highlights. I think the FA Cup final is another event on that list.

The FIA members would have to vote for a different president that wants to go in a new direction. That is currently looking unlikely for the next term.

Maybe we are seeing different things, but I have seen the majority of articles/videos going with the "not the fastest car" title as yours does. Your article excellently explains how this is not the case, but more complex. I am not a Max fan, but you can't fault how clinical his season has been.

Entirely agreed. If you consider that mix in the 2nd half, I think it is more complex than most media narratives of not having the outright fastest car. I expect if the season was in reverse we might have a different narrative? Can we just stick with him being phenomenally consistent throughout?
