@jpedneault.bsky.social @elizabethemay.bsky.social Ce fut un honneur de vous avoir pour nous représenter ! I only had the chance to vote for you this one election, but I'm glad I did. IMO if y'all had focused more directly on Outremont vs. a cross-country message, it could have gone a lot further.

As a former MSFT employee, I'm so proud of Ibtihal. Takes immense courage to stand up to people at this level. And I'm ashamed of the company for taking on military contracts with governments the ICC has credibly charged with war crimes.

If you're confused about Trump's tariffs (and who isn't), then I recommend this breakdown by @economist.com

TL;DR tariffs put on pressure to manufacture in US, while chaos devalues the dollar in sync, theoretically rebalancing trade in US' favor

It's an insane pipedream

Is your tech stack Making America Great Again?

A lot of the MAGA power comes from billionaire silicon valley donors, including a number of VCs. VCs that only make money when their portfolio companies make money. So let's make them toxic to work with! More in thread.

Me: "What happens when all branches of US gov't are compromised by political actors?"

#ChatGPT: It’s important to stress that these ideas are purely hypothetical. In practice, a situation in which all federal branches are compromised would likely precipitate a severe constitutional crisis

Cool project discovery: github.com/Kiln-AI/Kiln

While I haven't played with it yet, I came across this project for fine-tuning LLMs and generating synthetic datasets. Seems to support a variety of models. Very intriguing. Any other tools to know about?

When I first saw NVIDIA announce project Digits, I wasn't sold. << Why not just buy a 5090?? >>
But the more I look at it, the more I think it is brilliant. It's the next step towards democratizing AI compute in the same way that the IBM PC put a supercomputer (at the time) on your desk.
