There is always a point in trying to convince them otherwise, just not in prioritizing convincing them over actions likely to see more immediate and direct impact.

It’s also about the reason behind bad hygiene and the “no style” some men had going on. Trying to make them care about their appearance can be an uphill battle cuz it’s “gay” to care too much and friends would make fun of ‘em, even if they ended up not feeling good about themselves.
