"we can't always be talking about the state of the world" - I get it, i really do, but we have to talk about it SOMEtime. how else can we come up with effective resistance? there has to be a better way of dealing with fascism than oscillating between escapism and doomscrolling

My young friend (10) came over for a craft night and wanted to learn something "cool". We settled on embroidery, with a promise to do woodcarving next.

pour ne pas être paralysé·e devant l'avalanche des nouvelles j'ai besoin de me rapeller qu'il y a des belles choses qu'il vaut la peine de proteger... donc je continue de poster mon art niaiseux, en esperant que ca fait sourire des fois

more dolls... white and blond-haired dolls sell fastest :/ but i make sure there's at least one brown and black doll available... and every single time the people that take them home are so happy they had the choice. it shouldn't be extraordinary to find a toy that your child can relate to

the funnest part of dollmaking is making accessories ... and pockets :-)
people want "girl" dolls. more hair to play with and prettier clothes. but at least I can give them pockets. all girls need decent pockets. to keep things to throw at misogynists :-)

I also make dolls for a toystore in the plateau, and sur commission, plus teaching how to make them yourself.
Dolls are incredibly important for children of all genders, because they teach care and empathy and emotional responsibility for others, all things we need a lot more of these days.
