What makes them different? Why is it that before our eyes our leadership opts to demonize folks for making these tough decisions? Not just the teenagers, but every single other undocumented worker simply trying to create opportunities, betterment for themselves? Why?

Let me not even get into how absolutely atrocious it is that the pathway to education is thwarted. Again, these are TEENAGERS who have at this point been absolutely weathered by the climate, weathered emotionally…what is YOUR teenager doing? Why don’t these teens get the same chance, opportunity?

I see their faces sometimes. I ask their DOBs y me dicen…un número que apenas registra edad de 16, 17. Life has them pinned in a way that they see it the better option to choose this life of sacrifice, or working under harsh conditions, of being denied their integrity….

It is just BEYOND ME what these teenagers must endure. How quickly they must grow, mature, and harden themselves simply to survive this cruelty for the mere opportunity of lifting up their loved ones and carving a path to better opportunity

Coming to this country to bust their ass, to be denied their rights, to be denied the integrity of working for a living wage in THIS community, and yet our leadership and policy makers turning their back to the sacrifice that these MINORS have made for the betterment of their loved ones back home

But ABOVE THIS, I hate that this article depicts them like this. How about depicting the story of a minor who is a young teen (and rightfully still a child!) who is forced to make the decision to leave their family behind, their homelands, their community…and the trade off?

Beyond this, I want to acknowledge any person who reads this article and clutches their pearls at the thought of “Undocumented minors” the undocumented part of this is one aspect, but you may focus on the bit about these kids being minors. Rightfully so, it is fucked.

Ok so first of all. Fuck GHF. This is not the first raid that has happened on one of their properties since all this started—where are the protections for their employees? Fuck 🧊 & the Cheeto and the puppy murderer. What an absurd take on policy.
