Who’s surprised? Developers haven themselves unreliable & self interested for 30+ years building substandard properties that barely meet regs (if at all). No ethics, no morals just profit.

How does this cover those who are genetically outside of XX/XY let alone the more complex scenarios? The more you try and simplify things the more you fall foul of reality. Read something recently that even categorising life into species isn’t that clear cut when you get to the genetic level.

Isn’t there a function here of housing in the uk is seen as assets rather than homes? The wealthy buy property as investments rather than to live in? Until houses become homes again it won’t change.

I always find the actions characters in Harlan Coben stories unrealistic. I’m always shouting “just go to the police!”. Bad Sisters doesn’t ever set out to be real, actual, life but just a darn good story. It’s brilliant.

We live near an A road. It’s not the engines it’s the tyre noise. I don’t think roads will be quieter until there are less vehicles on it tbh. Mind you when the grockles are queuing in the summer it’ll be better if they turn their stereos off too😁

That’s exactly right. No secure home = poor/irregular education, no community, low pay, poor health. Sort out leasehold, make houses homes not assets, enforce building standards, rent control, social housing. It’s not just about building more if people who need the home can never afford it!
