I got off a call learning more about the the Congressional reconciliation bill that could give tax cuts to the 1% and make massive Medicaid cuts and give job loss penalties (better wording than work requirement). Please share stories with Congress. There's a couple days left. #HandsOffOurMedicaid

I just arrived in Olympia, WA near the state capitol. Today I'm lobbying my state representatives for Hunger Action Day. I'm prepared to talk about budget requests for funding senior nutrition programs, protecting SNAP, and extending funding for food banks.

Does anyone know any 15-18 year olds interested in advocacy? The ACLU scholarship for emerging advocates has applications for four year college scholarships. I'm also reading this in ACLU magazine which is actually pretty 🔥 @aclu.org

I called (using 5 calls) my House of Representatives member asking her to vote No on H.R 22 to try to slow down passing these hateful bills. H.R. 22 would make it harder for people to vote (ID + birth certificate in person). Personal phone calls are more effective than letters.

I am visiting friends and family in San Francisco and Oakland. I walked over 20,000 yesterday. My legs are so sore today, but I also want to walk more at home. So now I'm wondering what action I can do to make my neighborhood more walkable. Do I write a letter to the editor, contact my local reps?
