Reminds me of a previous conservative government here in Australia who wanted to essentially purge the historic mass slaughter of the indigenous population from our national conscience and only focus on the achievements of white settlers ever since

Great summary of a mind boggling series of events! I’ve never forgiven Agamemnon though for killing clytemnestra’s first husband and child, in a shameful deal with tyndareus - recorded in some versions of the story - I feel like she had many reasons to wish him dead
