A person who plays video games and has an unhealthy desire to talk about them
It's no problem.

It's a bit of an oddity with TGAs but it's not like Clair Obscur's 12 nominations aren't already a bit of an oddity so I can forgive the situation lmao.

... The above isn't a bad thing btw, Clair Obscur sweep baybeeeee!

Small error in both the tweet and the article. Yotei isn't up for GotY. Weirdly it's the most nominated title for TGAs that isn't up for the grand prize.

I saw his tweet earlier today and made the safe assumption that "Executive at Ubisoft talking about a story about Ubisoft" wasn't going to frame the story honestly... so basically your reply is everything I wanted it to be, thank you.

You'd think they would have learned by now...

Before people get righteously angry, the headline specifically is ignoring that he was the head of a group that was charging for distributing them for a price. I don't think there's much reason to feel sympathy for this guy, nor is Nintendo going too far.

"Ultimate GotY" isn't out for it's nominations. It's weirdly excluded from the PC and Console Game lists though.

Regardless, wait a few weeks before the nominations come out.

Seriously tho, that's not what people are asking for. Just... let games exist in a sustainable state or allow community servers to become commonplace for decommissioned titles. If games from the 1990s can have that, then I refuse to believe this can't be addressed in 2025.

Given that Rare has officially announced the death of Everwild... I'm inclined to believe you.

Not going to be a fun trip from "bad" to "worse"...

If I had to guess, and this is speculating based off the "Zenimax" part, I think Xbox is shaving off more office jobs instead of developers.
This is something that's entirely reliant on seeing Xbox not axing developer jobs, but we'll have to see. Still sucks either way you shake it.

Honestly it tracks that the only way to do a review is to release a full documentary of the game...

I mean it's a bit unorthodox, but greatly appreciated.

A part of me thinks this is going to be on Mindseye/Build a Rocket Boy

If it helps, I don't believe it's sorted by revenue. Just because it's ranking high, it's more because a lot of people are buying it due to it's low price, at least the money it's making isn't comparable with the other games listed...
Not a huge silver lining, but take it where it counts.

If they act like this when a Mario Kart releases, god help them they survive office into 2027 when a Mario Party releases...

I'm curious what some of the most profitable and critically successful games of the year are.
Oh, one of them is an EA game made by passionate people.

My third favorite of the Independent Era...

So yes, it's obviously a 10/10. Peak episode.

It was Square Enix but it only ever released for PlayStation 4 and 5. There are no versions of the game on PC. It's lumped in with other live-service efforts for that reason, however i don't know if Sony considers it a part of the original 12. They marketed the game at least so there's that. Idk man
May 15, 2025 at 9:54 PM
As far as I can tell, Sony would not have enough live service titles if you excluded the ones they didn't internally make, so Helldivers II was a part of that list. I think Foamstars was a part of that list, but I'm not sure.

Regardless, the current Win:Loss ratio is looking to be 1:10 at this rate

"(...) it came several weeks after an external test of Haven’s first game, the online shooter Fairgames, according to people with knowledge of the matter"

... Well... that's reassuring...

Can Sony have a success to failure ratio above 1:Any with this live-service push I stg...

The one place worse than France.

Interesting change of location, E33's development is so complicated despite it being a far smaller studio and in 5 years (plus a few additional ones in pre-production). Awesome showcase of what happens with a passion project.

He doesn't go into any major plot details past the opening area of Act 1 and he does mention gameplay systems from later on, but that's really about it. I'd consider it spoiler-free overall if you've seen the trailers at all.
