This was the first fully fleshed out level I designed. A bit basic, but it helped a lot seeing how levels would flow, what worked, what didn't, etc.

I'm always trying to find new uses for each of Volt's abilities. The ground pound wasn't getting enough love, so these pipes were a way to give it more function

"Hey what happened to the sprites you were working on?"

Yeah so they weren't scrapped. I just didn't want people confused why the sprites weren't finished while playtesting, so I created temp art.

Yeah, I didn't stick with the old jump animation that long. Added a bunch of new mechanics and movement options. The spin attack is finally here! I also toyed with the idea of stamina, but it never felt right.

Testing a bit more mechanics, including collecting gems for score. And a... less than stellar jump animation. Not everything you do in game dev is progress you know.
