My solution that I'm telling all the scientists I know:
If you lose your job because of this admin's policies and Congress's inaction, take their jobs instead. Run for office. Local, State, Federal... we need more critical thinkers running things. It's the only way to make change. #runforsomething

And NOAA still falls under Commerce so the hearing for this guy is important.

What I'm grappling with is if not Isaacman, who? They aren't going to nominate or appoint anyone I like any better. But I'm very concerned about what he's said/done/agreed to in order to re-secure the nomination...

We were prepared to #sacrifice for a good cause with the #shutdown, and now those 40 days are for nothing. The #election put wind in our sails, followed up by this outrageous move to capitulate in light of that Blue shift that has winded us.

The proposed bill also includes 1 billion for security for #Congress people and capitol police, but does nothing about all the problems the public is facing. 😡
