Why doesn't Nvidia just invest in distributed solar-powered (or wind or hydro) compute that just runs 4-8 hrs per day or when electricity pricing is negative ?

#Wildfire suppression is managed by the Forest Service and the Dept. of the Interior.

Suppression costs were under $2B (in 2023 dollars) until 2000 and first hit $3B in 2017. Costs have averaged this amount for the last 5 years.

And yet pipelines to feed water all over the place would cost far less than that
