This would just make trans people go back to saying whatever we think the doctors need to hear to get treatment.

What are you even talking about? Canada had both the 2nd highest GDP per capita and 2nd highest growth rate in the G7 in 2024.
If you’re referring to total economy size, Canada has the smallest population by an enormous margin. Obviously we’ll have the smallest economy no matter how rich we are.

I think it both warmed and re-broke my heart to see that pride sidewalk behind you. I haven’t been to Sudbury in 20 years, not since a trans man friend was arrested, stripped, and humiliated by the police in jail after a protest. Reminds me how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go.

I live in Alberta. I’d say the trickling happened in the run up to the 2019 election when UCP MLA’s were straight up telling people that schools would be full of rapists in the bathrooms if they didn’t win. I wish I was exaggerating.
