this is how i know the panic around “immigration” was never about immigration, it’s nothing put pure racism.

“immigrants” in this context has always been and will always be a dogwhistle targeting non-white people. Far right politicians and media “personalities” only ever get mad about non-white immigrants/refugees coming into the country but never bat an eye when it’s white people doing it. (tbc)
