I love this part of Tsui Hark's voice performance and I quote it all the time:

"Arf arf"

It even has the swordsman rap... although it's a swordsman dance. Tsui Hark would definitely not be blind to the fact that Enchanting Shadow put a stamp on this kind of storytelling and atmosphere, but with his and Ching's stamp on the visual side of things.

Get the animation film too. Very good, and Tsui Hark voices the dog.

Have you seen Enchanting Shadow? It’s clear Tsui Hark and Ching Siu-tung were both adapting same short story and remaking that film.

And this scenario is kind of a dead end anyway.

Not sure it’s 50/50 but people seems to think it couldn’t stick to landing because they didn’t get fireworks. Wrong.

This works so well if you think of Hauer as some kind of spectral, supernatural entity.

I guess I would say, I don't know if it's him and just have a feeling his low profile means he's not interested in talking about his work. Am sure the labels and commentary experts have approached him.
