Our family is participating in the economic blackout today. It is important to emphasize that people do what they can. The resistance will require many actions. Do what you can and don’t feel bad when you can’t part in one specific event. It is our collective actions that will bring about change.

Those present at the inauguration were mostly (if not all) white, rich, and males wearing ties. Trump’s core supporters were left out in the cold.

Trump and dismantling the DOE will devastate vulnerable people. FAFSA, Pell Grants, etc. are administered through the DOE. If you rely on student aid for your child’s college education your vote probably eliminated that. My degree was a way out of poverty for me, earned as a widowed single mom.
