Rinse and repeat (without measuring, oh no) and I got my first little test!
now, besides forgetting the seventh box, I can see I need to make them shallower, more even, more securely attached to each other, and make the outer box sturdier and tighter...

I noticed the flaps weren't getting enough 'clearance' to actually enter the flap hole so I made them smaller and curved (hehe. flap hole)

I realized the flaps that tuck into the sides of the box needed to be smaller so they could fit. so I started cutting them smaller and - oh! they fit so much more easily!

the first thing that went through my mind was how butt plugs have a flared base to stay stuck, so um.. I tried to use that principle.

I still enjoy actually putting in effort sometimes! and I do plan on improving at painting, rendering, colour, all that stuff. but at the moment i have other things I'm trying to learn very quickly, and i have to save my 'learning energy' for those things for now. some day (soon?) i'll render again
