I recently upgraded a few of my machines to NVMe, (2 and 4TB), and still cannot get over the size (small) capacity (larger than I could even conceive even 20 years ago) and cost (low per TB).

Roast at home for the win - cut out most of the middlemen, and better coffee too.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this 100% (I'm from Northern California). The "low information" folks are addicted to confirmation bias like crack, and the right wing of the US is laying the groudwork to get them to believe all this nonsense so they can get their pipe hit...

I’m so embarrassed to be an American right now. I never thought I’d ever see any President of my country behave in such a way. I have fewer years in front of me than behind me. I don’t know if I’ll live to see the U.S. be what it once was. I’m beyond heartsick at what has become of us.

Welcome (from my good old 43" 4K). I was a multi monitor guy for about 20 years, but I started to get tired looking around on multiple displays, and no regrets so far.

I am a rust dev on a yocto (mainly) C/C++ project, and constantly have to deal with this particular pushback, which is.. annoying. It's not exactly apples->apples IMHO, you "get stuff" for the "overhead" - async runtime baked in for instance.

I also question whether the software expertise that is specific to spacecraft control is really that applicable to aircraft traffic management - they seem like different problem domains to me. The SpaceX team is brilliant, but it's not the same problem IMHO.
