One of the things I think #seveneves does really well is describe the movement of objects and crafts in space. This is a feat considering it's so different from anything I've ever experienced and so have no point of reference to pull from #scifibooks

Halfway through #seveneves and so invested in the fate of the characters/human race. At the same time, I find the technical aspects of the book less charming than other #scifibooks I've read with technical science writing in them.

The thing I find so fascinating about #seveneves right now is how we don't really hear from the perspective of the everyday person. Even Dr. Harris on Earth is deeply enmeshed in the #scifi issues. It leaves it to the reader to imagine what would become important to you/what wouldn't matter anymore.

Just finished reading The Violence Project: How to Stop a Mass Shooting Epidemic by Peterson & Densley. I appreciate that they took so much of their work and turned it into digestible, categorized chunks. Feels like it merely scratches the surface of much deeper research. #nonfiction
