Il est question d’un Pygargue à tête blanche qui crève l’écran, d’un rouge-gorge un peu inconscient, et d’une partie de golf au milieu du désert de Sonora. A travers les cactus épineux des étendues arides de l’Arizona, la liberté, têtue et fière, continue de tracer son chemin au mépris des dangers. --- This is a story of exile that features some strange birds. It involves a bald eagle that steals the show, a somewhat oblivious robin, and a round of golf in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. "Belle prise" / "Nice catch" - Huile sur lin - 50 x 50 cm / Oil on linen - 19.7 x 19.7 in BELLE PRISE Elle est vraiment jolie, Émilie. Gracile, fine et sage, la jeune-fille traverse la jungle pour se rendre à la plage. Fraîche et lumineuse dans sa robe en taffetas, ses boucles d’oreilles tintent et marquent son pas. Les moustiques et les araignées, un peu subjugués, clignent de tous leurs yeux et l’observent marcher. Elle, se fond dans les lianes douces et les caresses des feuilles, et son chignon roux rebondit comme un écureuil. La journée a été longue, elle a trop travaillé, elle a hâte de rejoindre ses amies pour chiller. Profiter un peu de la fin de journée, du coucher du soleil sur la dernière marée. Boire des verres, mais pas trop tard, en écoutant un peu de guitare. Schlak ! Aïe ! Un insecte vient de la piquer. Elle se retourne, regarde son épaule, égarée. Dans son beau bras blanc, une seringue est plantée. Au loin, un étrange animal écarlate, tapi derrière les palmiers. Mais déjà prise de torpeur, la délicate enfant perd sa ferveur. Émilie, sous emprise chimique et soumise à la forêt frivole, Victime de promesses folles et proie de belles paroles, Tes petites sœurs, cachées dans les ficus, te vengeront de ces us. Aucune coutume, aucun usage, ne t’empêchera plus d’être sage. L’animal à fusil qui t’a décharnée et bue jusqu’à la lie, Le chasseur qui t’a endormie avec sa vicieuse perfidie, Nous lui ferons connaître à son tour, La joie d’être chassé et pris sans détour.
