When we discussed the amazing Scientific Writing book by @queensoxbiology.bsky.social and @stuwest.bsky.social, I found out that students are _still_ taught to write entire theses in passive voice. ARGH. I hope the book will contribute to a new generation of scientists writing in normal English!
