Red states, eg OH, KY, NC, that take much more money from the Federal government than they pay back in taxes (BOP) voted for Trump even as Project 2025 clearly set out the plans to dismantle the Fed Gvmt and now Congress members from those states balk at the cuts that adversely affect their states.

Rural communities and farmers voted for Trump knowing that he planned to impose large tariffs and that Project 2025 called for defunding the Federal government. Now farmers are protesting asking why they are not being given the money the Federal government promised them.
