It makes me sad when I see so many high profile architectural projects that don't even try. There are still too many architects for whom environmental design is seen as a drag on creativity or the "purity" of material expression and form. But there are so many creative ways to use solar panels!

This will get a bit lost in the shuffle of everything, but glaciologists in Antarctica have finally drilled a continuous ice core stretching past 1 million years. Congrats to the Beyond EPICA team! Can't wait to see the results.
