Messing around with a concept for a space sandbox where you fly around the moons of a gas giant using orbital mechanics, delivering cargo, salvaging wrecks. and taking whatever jobs will keep you flying.

I like them in 3D, but they lack the kinda silly, satirical tone I was going for. Our original idea was for a more overtly goofy, friendly jab at hard-scifi and alt-history trends, iunno if that'd resonate with players, or retain our own interest either.

re someone on twitter pointing out that identifiable silhouettes out of context aren't as critical in 3D games as they are in 2D media, I agree, but generally find silhouettes to be a good starting point for designs a player needs to be able to easily tell apart at varying distances and lighting.

Didn't like the look of the "kneepads" and "thighs" on the Ajax, added some more detail.

Was also thinking of some kinda wire-cutter for the kneepads for cable obstacles meant to trip mechs, but couldn't quite decide on a good design that didn't look out of place.

How's the little magazine fit infinite missiles into it? Fuck if I know. Also there's a bug where it forgets the muzzle rotation and they fly into the ground, still dunno how to fix that
