Today's radio experiment compared a cheap set of two new DAB/FM radio telescopic aerials from China with old one used on my small TEF6686 radio. Tuned to 92.5 MHz BC FM the original showed a signal strength of S9+30db, the new aerials reduced this to only S3! Refund applied📻📡📶

Well I received my SI4732 spy radio yesterday and I can't believe how they have produced a full HF SSB radio in such a tiny size, not much bigger than an AA battery. 🕵️♂️📻📡📶🔋 Here it is on 20m this morning receiving DL2025S 🇩🇪

Well I received my SI4732 spy radio yesterday and I can't believe how they have produced a full HF SSB radio in such a tiny size, not much bigger than an AA battery. 🕵️♂️📻📡📶🔋 Here it is on 20m this morning receiving DL2025S 🇩🇪

Interesting, I just had a radio contact on 18 MHz FT8 with an Italian station call sign IT9RTM/SUB, I thought to myself it can't be operating from a submarine can it? It seems it might be from this image I just found 📻📡However the submarine depicted may have been sunk in 1942

Unusual tracks from my ADS-B virtual radar found this morning, seen beyond the East coast into the North Sea. I am usually blocked in that direction due to the Pennines, think it might be due to the current high air pressure perhaps, at 1036mb rising. 📻📡📶✈️#ADSB

Been having great fun recently operating my QRP (low power) 5 watts maximum @xiegu_tech X-6200 radio on HF, with the callsign GE0ISW. I use the new optional Regional prefix of 'E' for England to differentiate QRP loggings from my usual higher power. 📻📡📶🌍

Have to say that my little @xiegu_tech X-6200 QRP low power transceiver is getting radio signals out rather well, with just 5 watts into a covert hidden dipole only 2m above ground level. 158 reception reports in Europe and one into the USA all on the 40m (7MHz) band. 📻📡📶#Xiegu

I wanted a small rechargeable fan for my heatsink modified Xiegu X-6200, found this one with 4 speeds and up to 18 hours run time. On the lowest quiet setting my X-6200 runs very cool on FT8 data mode. 📻📡📶🥶 #hamradio amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...
