I’m sure that the fact Indianapolis residents put up enough of a fight to keep a data center from being built around here is part of the reason they’re looking to do this to our city

Not saying that it’s a lot for sure. I’m just saying that I know of one that is currently elected here. And I remember not voting for a few Dems because I had seen their comments on vouchers and, while some were open to them, others were too wishy-washy for my liking on such an important topic.

Actually I have been seeing that here in Indiana. State Rep Ed DeLaney has said we should increase voucher amount for those who are lower income, which I mean, that’s great, but we shouldn’t be doing vouchers period.

For the record, I do appreciate you going on their show to talk with them, I just wanted to add context from someone that is dealing with this daily.
August 27, 2025 at 9:58 PM
I’m sure you are unlikely to read through this whole thing, but I just wanted to share my thoughts speaking as someone who is working in a classroom and has seen, firsthand, the difference in teaching now versus when I first started 15 years ago.

These types of laws allow the teachers to TEACH and not have to confiscate phones after telling kids multiple times to put them away.

Again… anyone that is advocating AGAINST phone bans like yourself, should have to go into the classroom and teach. Not just for a day, but for an extended timeframe
August 27, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Currently, in most school corporations, when a kid comes home and makes a complaint that a teacher did something like take their phone away because they were using it when they weren’t supposed to, the admin get an angry phone call. Guess who gets in trouble nowadays for this…

The teachers
August 27, 2025 at 9:29 PM
What you are advocating for puts the onus on the teachers who are already quitting in droves and being blamed for a lot of things that are not our fault. We’re already fighting against parents who think they know how to better teach the kids and show up angry at school board meetings.
August 27, 2025 at 9:28 PM
I don’t care that you got all kinds of defensive about some people not understanding the paid advertisements, but it feels like you get super upset by people misunderstanding something like that as you go about completely misunderstanding something you don’t deal with on a daily basis.
August 27, 2025 at 9:26 PM
Your point about laptops was silly because at least those are on the school’s WiFi which means the content can be kept to educational purposes and monitored. Which is what we’ve literally been doing for decades now for our teachers and staff members.
August 27, 2025 at 9:23 PM
I’m arguing that people should be able to say whatever when our ruling elites continue to work past when they should be.

RBG shouldn’t have stuck around so long. Feinstein too.

It’s a pattern with the Dems

I’m all for decency, but maybe the establishment should try a bit more humility first
May 21, 2025 at 5:20 PM
You’re right.

We should all be silent about our thoughts because this guy that probably shouldn’t have ran again, but at the very least, definitely shouldn’t have been given a leadership role, passed away.

This is the third Democratic senator to pass in this Congress alone.
May 21, 2025 at 5:18 PM
No.

I just said that to say that having the bar be as low as me and someone else agreeing on a particular value as reason to say something to them or not, seems ridiculous

Could I have said it more eloquently? Definitely. Just saying that if the only bar to clear is that one, we wouldn’t talk much
May 21, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Yeah. Republicans suck. That’s pretty clear at this point.

And Dems are far better than them in some pretty key ways.

That said, can we get some Democrats that actually want to fix the system? Because most of them are still just wanting to tinker around the edges.
May 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
Fair enough. That’s probably more of how I’d have explained that too had I taken a bit longer to think about the response.
May 21, 2025 at 2:10 PM
lol…

Sure.

I’m just stating that it isn’t that deep that the person made a wrong assumption based on what was said.
May 21, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Besides… that’s such a silly thing to bring up anyway

“Someone who holds at least some
Of the same values” is a pretty wide statement.

Nick Fuentes and I agree that we shouldn’t be aiding Israel in a genocide, but for wildly different reasons.

Should I not argue with him because of that?
May 21, 2025 at 2:02 PM
At least they pulled back?

Are we not supposed to have any conversations with people unless we know where they already stand on issues?

Based on the questioning, they just made an assumption. It was wrong. And they explained themselves.

Simple as that

When we’ve continuously told them that they need to bring in new blood instead of backing the same aging dinosaurs, yes.

It’s fine to gloat a bit.

They refuse to listen to their constituents and continue to just do “business as usual” when we are in times that are anything but the “usual”
May 21, 2025 at 1:58 PM
Sure sure sure.

Whatever nonsense you need to say in order to make yourself feel better.
May 21, 2025 at 1:56 PM
Once upon a time right-wingers would say “since you guys want to vote for people that want to raise taxes on people, why don’t all of you just pay more in taxes and leave us out of it?”

I would just like to ask if it works in reverse and they pay all of the tariffs for us since they voted for this?
